The Nevis Air and Seaports Authority conducted a five (5) day training session for its recently hired Security Officers. The Basic 123 Aviation Security Training was held during the period June 13th to 17th and facilitated by Mr Rolston Griffin of the Civil Aviation Division (CAD) of St. Kitts-Nevis.
At the end of the training, the seven participants, which also included officers from the Customs and Immigration departments were examined based on the information received and learned over the week-long training. All participants were successful and were presented with their certificates during the closing ceremony.
Addressing the officers, Mr Velie Maynard, Acting Chief of Security, congratulated them for successfully completing the training and reminded them that the training is only the beginning, and that, they will now have to put what they have learnt into action.
Certificates were presented to each participant by Mr Velie Maynard, Mr Rolston Griffin and Ms Rovena Jeffers, Inspector of Security.
